Theoretical Component of the Cervical Screening Education Programme. 16 CEU/CPD points

To complete the theoretical component of the Cervical Screening Education Programme, you need to create an account on NSSResources. See the attached document in downloadable resources for details of how to create an account.

Click presentations (nssresources.ie) and the access code you will need to complete the cervical screening presentations is 072020.

There are 8 units/modules and MCQ assessments following each unit to complete, which will take approximately 2- 3 hours.

SunSmart Campaign 2023

This years SunSmart Campaign has commenced and will run until the 30th of September 2023. The aim of the campaign is to increase awareness of the steps that can be taken to protect our skin from the sun and to reduce the risk of skin cancer in Ireland. 

Population Health and Health Services Research seminar series Spring/Summer 2023

The Health Behaviour Change Research Group, The HRB Primary Care Clinical Trials Network Ireland, The Health Promotion Research Centre, PPI Ignite Network at University of Galway, and The Diabetes Collaborative Clinical Trials Network are back running a lunchtime seminar series on Zoom to highlight research in the areas of Population Health and Health Services.

COVID-19 Community Testing Centres and PCR Self-Referral Portal will close this week. 30/03/2023.

The Public Health advice for COVID-19 has been updated and from this Thursday, 30th March 2023, COVID-19 testing is no longer recommended for the vast majority of people.

In line with this new advice, community testing centres across the country and the self-referral portal for ordering PCR tests are no longer required, and both will be closed as of 30th March 2023.

Review of Sexual Health Strategy timely given rising HIV and STI rates, says HIV Ireland. 27/03/2023

HIV Ireland has today welcomed the publication of the review of the National Sexual Health Strategy as timely, noting the continued reported rise in rates of HIV and STIs in Ireland. The review was commissioned by the Department of Health in advance of the preparation of a new National Sexual Health strategy for Ireland.
